Although you are incorrect about this, it doesn’t matter because you can still claim the delay repay you are entitled to and the cost of food as explained above.
Hi, I’m still on holiday so yet to claim the national express ones. Regarding the trains, I PROMISE, there were no trains. I was on the platform for 4 hours - the only train that was available was the sleeper one I’d mentioned to London Paddington. Something fishy happened and I think I might ask r/LegalAdviceUK for advice regarding small claims court.
NO this train never came though ? The 21:44 one was cancelled - I don’t know why trackers show it ran. Where did you check this ?
As has been said several times, it ran but only after you'd left St Erth on the sleeper. It's shown on Realtime Trains, as per my post #9 and the link from post #31. Post #20 is by the owner of Realtime Trains who has access to the industry systems that provide its information.
Can you explain to us how you know no trains came through or stopped at the station at St Erth AFTER you left St Erth on the sleeper train towards London? Given you were not at St Erth because you were on a train towards London en route to Plymouth aiui.

The OP should definitely go for full delay repay, based on intended and actual arrival times at Plymouth, plus reimbursement of the cost of refreshments consumed during the long wait.
