If I remember correctly the 379 I was travelling on on Sunday was 009, and one of its sealed windows was broken meaning the passengers below constantly had to keep closing it.

Are 12,13, and 15 still at Ferme Park.
Are they all in one line?
Can see from main line. Is there anywhere else you can see the actual numbers?

Absolutely brilliant thanks. I find 379 numbers difficult.

Is 001 still out and about? Looking at realtraintimes, it is the only one apart from 012-015 and 030 which I haven't 'seen' recently.

I travelled on the 1718 Kings Cross to Kings Lynn on 9 July - a very hot day. The driver announced that the aircon was not working properly in some coaches and arranged for water to be supplied to the passengers in those coaches before departure. He said that this was an on-going problem with some of these units. I was on 379 003 and although there was some airflow, it was not sufficient to keep the temperature down that day although it would probably have been OK on less hot days.
When the train arrived at Royston, there was a delay while the driver checked the platform before departure. The images on some of the platform monitors in the cab were bleached out by the sun so he couldn't rely them. Royston station is on curve with a overbridge in the middle of the platform so there is no line of sight along the full length of the 12 coach train.
It seems the 379 units still have quite a lot of faults although they are in traffic.
My impression is that 387 units will be used if possible.
The rest of the evening peak to Cambridge must have been awful. The next two King's Lynn trains were cancelled and the Thameslink Brighton - Cambridge services did not run all day because of pantograph problems

I think that the situation remains unchanged with 001 - 010 and 016 - 029 in service. While 012/013/015 are parked up at Ferme Park and 014 and 030 are still at Hornsey - these 5 are yet to see service with GTR.

Would welcome any intel on any changes or plans for these 5 to be used.

I have also noticed that some units have clearly had some work on there bogies. The external condition of some of them is now very poor.

013 has moved over to Hornsey Depot and 030 has swapped places with it to Ferme Park. 030 looks to have recently had a C4 exam with refurbished bogies and pantograph.
