Does anyone know what modifications are being done on Northern's Class 333s at Holbeck and how long these will go on for?

I assume this is why there are moves from Derby to Holbeck of barrier vehicles. Then movements between Holbeck and Neville Hill (prior to return to Derby). Seen them a couple of times at Wakefield Westgate in a morning and wondered what they were.

This is not correct.
The mods at Holbeck are pantograph camera and energy monitoring fitment, there are no lifting facilities there.
There is generally 1 333 stopped long term at Neville Hill for TCU repairs.

Should be 016.
It's just being done as and when there's time. They'll all be done eventually.

I actually like the 333s, siemens built quite a decent unit there. Interior layout is good on these too.

They're made by CAF actually, with Siemens traction equipment!
Another one of those slightly oddball orders, a 3 car "metro" derivative of the long scrapped Heathrow Express 332s.

The 3 car 158s are the best units in Airedale.

Any idea why the posters above the door on a 333 went, it showed the route of the triangle that thise trains served, Leeds to Skipton, Skipton to Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley, Ilkley to Leeds

Because they now work Leeds to Doncaster services in addition to the triangle?

Well nothing like getting on a train and knowing where it’s going, I’ve seen so many get on a wrong train like see a 170 and think it’s going to Shipley or Keighley, watching a Japanese tv series theh had the maps above the door, if 331 went exclusive to that route and 333 Leeds to Doncaster but northern are famous for a lottery with which unit you’d get for travel, consistency is crazy.
