On the flip side, for decades we've had buses going around in all over advertising liveries, and everyone's coped.
There's at least two Metroline BYD's with advertising wraps that don't have any Bee Network branding on the front.
I think there is too much handwringing in the enthusiast world over things that are non standard (trains are the same). Most folk don't look at the colour, they just see a bus. I drove 1451 (NJA 568W) back from Queens Road on Saturday afternoon and the number of folk putting their hand out for it was truly comical!
Still think it's a shame the Bee Network isn't that colour...
Im not surprised to hear that. I drove for Yorkshire Hreitage Bus across the North of England and inspite of all the vehicles being halfcab deckers or saloons peolpe would still put there arms out.
I don’t think it was ever mentioned the vantage ones would move to the 163. It’s already reported further up the thread they will move to regular services at Bolton which some have already done so.
Surprised Weston Street haven’t taken over the 163s and leave Nelson Street to do schools.

It appears that the B9TLs has now unfortunately been taken out of service from Vantage routes. So what you'll have seen was likely a B5TL.
Yep seen them, not sure why the fronts have been done as it was always stated that the fronts couldn’t be touched and must remain standard.

A poster on Facebook has also showed two pictures of a new bus depot for Wigan, near 3 Challenge Way, Martland Park, Wigan. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1607791126412543/posts/2415688318956149/Route One is reporting that a location has been identified for the new depot in Stockport - at Heathside Park Road which is about two miles away from the current depot. All being well it will open in 2029.

Transport for Greater Manchester has identified a location for a new Bee Network battery-electric bus depot in Stockport.
I'm pretty sure that is from before franchising began. There was early rumours that Stagecoach was going to keep hold of Wigan (remember they initally fought franchising and this was during the spat) so TfGM sought land and a depot building and i'm pretty sure this was it.

Someone's been asking that would it affect the 35 as it stops at Bryn in the evenings.
I would guess so, as looking at the buses that operate these Bryn services, they dont do any other trips so its whether tfgm thinks its useful for passengers for the 35s to still go to Bryn or not
