Trying to buy a £1.50 S&C ticket for the 1049 LDS-CAR but not having any joy :(
Have tried the forum site and Northern app - does this mean I've missed the boat?
I went last Friday 29 May - booked the week before but no £1.50 Tickets left - mine was £4.50 which is still a bargain. As campdave said now expired.

Morrisons are running a £10 off promotion for their Morrisons More members, with participating ticket retailers. The forum ticketing site is a participating retailer, as is everything else TrainSplit/Raileasy.

Invitation only, for people who've used the Morrisons More app recently. Cannot be stacked with Railcard discounts.

I've got one of these and I'm interested in using it. But the blurb doesn't make clear whether or not it can be applied to Advance tickets.

Claimed (but not booked) - thank you.

Weird the site asking where I wanted to go to/from (which I just clicked any damn thing) - thought all retailers that would do this would sell all destinations, so presumably some kinda marketing thing?

Also Morrisons want to give me free Ice Cream so double win.

The purpose is so that RDG can push the fare-setting train operator as the "primary" place to buy the tickets for that journey above the independent retailers.

It doesn't even hand over the search parameters - which you then have to re-enter, not a very good UX in my view.

I claimed mine (the Morrisons voucher) and found a suitable journey to use it on. It's a bit of shame it doesn't work with railcards (even at 2/3 the value) but I guess railcard holders are already encouraged to travel by holding the railcard.

I think the where do you want to travel is about offering a suitable participating seller for the journey you give.

Thanks for this.
I claimed and received the discount code.
Tried to book with West Midlands trains but the code was not recognised !
One of those offers that looks good but doesn’t deliver ! Website does not work and no railcard discount !

My wife tried hers with East Midlands railway and same error message.
Can someone post when they have managed to get it to work please?

We've had quite a few people successfully redeem the £10 off at TrainSplit. I think the campaign has been fraught with email delivery problems and the flow is a bit naff (no prefilling of promo codes, very reliant on emails, have to re-enter journey details), so hopefully some lessons can be learnt.

It pays to pick the retailer wisely!

and no railcard discount
The campaign is designed to encourage people who wouldn't ordinarily travel by rail to take the train. By definition that excludes the vast majority of people who own a Railcard

Even if you are a railcard holder there are plenty of ways to use a free £10 rail voucher in ways that are advantageous (eg saving on peak travel or journeys that would otherwise be affected by a minimum fare)

Thanks.
I am not sure we can change the retailer now as mine defaults to West Midlands and my wife’s defaults to East Midlands.
Is there a way of getting to the trainsplit site you are using for me to enter our codes ?

I'm afraid that once a retailer is chosen the selection is final, I'm not aware of any way of changing it after the fact :(

The offer site makes it clear that once you've chosen your retailer, it's final.

You’re not trying to use the initial code received from Morrisons are you? You have to convert it to a second retailer-specific code

Worked it out. For trainsplit you just put /morrisons at the end of the trainsplit website. So can be done.

I'm having the same problem with East Midlands too. Just tried Trainsplit, same error.
So you too worked out how to get from East Midlands to the trainsplit Morrisons website !

East Midlands /***** is slightly different.

I can guarantee you won't have got the same error from TrainSplit.

That just takes you to the information page about the promotion. It doesn't change the fact that you won't have a valid promo code for use on TrainSplit if you picked a different retailer to begin with.

The ScotRail Club 50 Flat Fare offer is returning, with outbound travel from 6th May.

The current Club 50 Flat Fare offer has been extended by 4 weeks.

Latest outbound travel date is now 15 July 2026.
Latest return travel date is now 14 August.

With the Morrisons offer, it took about 20 minutes but I had an email that gave the retailer to use (I picked Trainsplit) and my code.

That code worked fine at Trainsplit checkout.

Hopefully it would work the same at other retailers. It seemed a slightly odd list of retailer choices with some surprisingly missing.

Thank you to the kind soul who posted about the Morrisons More discount code, applied for mine yesterday and currently deciding where to use mine. Cardiff’s calling my name but the Midlands may see a return if there’s red penning to be done!

I am a bit concerned that I may not get the code to work though, so I’m a bit hesitant to use it through TfW or WMR until I know it works!

Participation was entirely voluntary and every retailer would've needed to come to their own conclusions as to whether it was worth their time or not.

My assumption is that SilverRail, Pico and Assertis either didn't have the technical capability (and didn't want to build it at short-notice) or - if they did - determined it wouldn't make commercial sense to take people away from the day job to do the prep/requisite work thereafter.

Obviously we have the capability. However, it did not make commercial sense and would have meant bumping other projects too.
