The Streetlites vary considerably. Some are clearly audible but others aren't. Some also have have a habit of saying Next Stop, but nothing else...
Untouched internally. Not for the first time, Derby does it on the cheap, whilst other depots, whose refurbs are carried out in Derby) get the full treatment...
Not surprised and share the same opinion.
Let's hope the existing fleet stay in Derby rather than getting sent to other places because some of the Gemini are really starting to struggle now and there are other routes which would welcome increased capacities.
As above, I think it can be two or three depending on the time you check, due to the interworking.
It's a bit like the 6 and 7 which alternate between three and four buses tracking all day....
Arriva Derby is starting to roll them out too. The Streetlites and the 17 plated MMC's have them. There's at least one Volvo which was them too, but none of the 14 plate E400's which had them from new have worked for years....
Just looked at WVN vs the 1B divert....
WVN currently has 5 AM trips and 7 PM trips, between 15.20 and 18.20.
1B will provide 4 AM trips and just THREE afternoon trips, covering 16.58 and 17.48.
That's hardly a "service improvement" as Arriva are calling it!
38 is also cut back from every 10 mins to every 12. Last time that happened, it initially ran with 8 buses at peak times and 7 off peak, but it was so unreliable, it was eventually switched back to 8 buses all day, with an increased headway. It will be interesting to see which option they try...
