Baldock has sticker on one as well( of two) . Annoying as they face the sun and it's a struggle to get the touchscreen to work properly sometimes leading to queues in the am peak.
This whole thing does worry me, the delays ,the crowds ( I'm disabled). Yes I know I can get assistance if required to bypass most of it, but it still worries me to the point of not travelling ( which maybe is the point?).
I get a Thameslink from London Bridge to Baldock in the evening peak, it is full leaving City Thameslink and standing only until Hitchin when it empties. I for one would not use the train if I had to train- tube-train rather than change trains at London Bridge.
We could "share" deterrence with the French, if our subs are getting a little old always ensuring there is either a French or SsBN sub on patrol at all times ( sometimes both) - didn't they talk about this at some point in the past. To prevent gaps in coverage?
Letchworth was designed as 4 platforms although they never completed the 4 tracks. Today you would have to move the lifts ( which are built in the way, but other than that it should " just" be moving earth.
I don't think we are up to much anyway, we had to send a tanker, a tanker to help the US board that Russian tanker as we no longer have destroyers and frigates available in sufficient numbers should they need maintainence or leave for heavens sake.
We, over a number of years, have created a risk adverse culture, which pervades everything. Railways seem to be at the sharp end of it unfortunately. Ambulance chasing lawyers have a lot to do with it and the rear end covering of everything to prevent being sued.

Why does LNER stop at Stevenage anyway? I don't see that many people heading north from there.
Cut the stop out and if you want to join an LNER service, get a GN or Thameslink in to Kings...
