Hi all, is it acceptable if I had a long eaton to Birmingham return ticket to get on for the outward journey at Derby? As I will be in Derby but need to go home to long eaton , the train from long eaton to Birmingham stops at Derby so I believe this to be acceptable. Thanks

Stood on the platform on the very unelectrified MML at Beeston, I overheard a young lady ask her boyfriend if the train that had just arrived was the electric one. He said "No but the next train was". Very worrying !
