Just bear in mind for yourself that Avanti use the CBI interview. If you’ve passed this with Avanti already then any MMI attempt (pass or fail) at ScotRail will overwrite the CBI pass you have and by default will leave you with incomplete “passes” to progress at Avanti. Quite a lot of advice on...
Lift the phone to PAM Assist. You can have a confidential chat with them and they may be able to offer support and interventions.

Did they invite you to the in person testing, or is it online testing that they use to whittle the numbers down? Good to see such quick progress for you.
I have had the same experience albeit I’ve not emailed them. Will be interested to hear what they reply to you with. I thought I’d been sifted out, but now unsure as to what’s going on. If you could share your update that’d be appreciated.
My online application portal has now disappeared. Unable to log in - incorrect login details error message etc. Requesting a password reset does nothing to fix it. Does that likely mean I’ve been sifted out by anyone’s prior knowledge/experience?
So if you, let’s say, have sat these (VSE & M7) before and passed them and are currently sitting in a talent pool with another enhanced operator then by sitting these with avanti then your talent pool place isn’t at risk if you fail?
Or if you fail is your talent pool place at risk as the fail...
Yeah it does seems vague. When I sat the VSE and M7 for Freightliner late last year there was a blurb in the email about having to sit both irrespective of previous passes etc. Was just curious if that same blurb, or similar, appeared on folks emails today
Don’t buy any material for these tests. Just sit them. They want to establish your natural traits. That’s it. No prep necessary. If you get to the paper / pencil / computer stages, yes buy practice material - but not now.
As I understand it those operators who use enhanced standards seek you to pass the VSE and M7SJT at home before reaching the assessment centre stage.
As I understand it each operator seeks you to pass these to their own scoring parameters. So they won’t rely on your existing passes for this...
