Anyone considered that they are looking at the much longer term? When the western access to Heathrow eventually gets built, I suspect HEX will be modified to something like Paddington - Heathrow - Reading, poss even further west.
I would imagine it is easier to keep the operation ticking over...
I traveled on an 800 today and I was surprised to see how many people mistook the locked trolley storage cupboard for a toilet, perhaps a sign is required.
By all accounts the 332s are life expired, as many people have said they are worked very hard 7 days a week.
I wonder how the 387s will cope with being worked so intensively over a short route.

Looks like the class 332s will soldier on till the end of the year.
The P&O ferry website seems better setup where you have to actually put the number on your priv card into the website to obtain the discount.

This is a new design of train so it seems sensible to me to not put too many "new" things on the train, I much happier seeing proven bits of kit on the train rather than having a completely clean sheet design.

Platform extensions at Chertsey open this morning. Still appeared to be some work going on but barriers preventing public using full length platforms have been removed
