I'm sure I saw it in all capitals in more places, but now it seems just the "HOTSPUR Connect" ticket retains all caps.

The 52 and 53 buses (combined about 8 trips per day) actually go past the station site, unlike the 85 which gets close but at the end of the road (near the new Wetherspoons). If this station got built, I'd expect the Leighton Hospital - Leighton Station section to get a few more buses to serve...

Some of my friends and I live on opposite ends of the current 8, but I do assume the majority of everyone else don't stay on past their respective bus station visits save for the retail park perhaps. As for tickets, I've been to a few places where even paper tickets are actively sold as 60...

Not a huge fan of splitting the current 8 into an 8 and a 15. Means paying twice for the same journey if you only need a single. No through ticketing either (confirmed by D&G by email, pointing at their day tickets instead). At least when the £2 cap comes in two singles are cheaper than the...

I notice hotspurbus.co.uk and hotspurbus.com were both registered last month. I was assuming the services would be on the D&G site with sub-branding but I guess they're separating them out fully after all? (will the 340 transfer to Hotspur as it's wholly within Shropshire I wonder)

I assume the plan for the route number is to change from 37 to W7 on arrival into Winsford a-la 87 and 88 changing over at Knutsford but providing through services on most buses which are advertised in timetables.

That makes a lot of sense, since the Sandbach to Winsford only 37 services usually have more than 25 minutes downtime in Winsford and a full circuit of the W7 takes 25 minutes, so combining them to provide through services and for more of the day is a good idea.

With not much in the way of notice, D&G fares have increased across a number of ticket types as of 1st July, with some ticket types being discontinued (Uttoxeter and 84X 10 Trip tickets). Frustratingly, the actual fares page has not been updated yet, so the new fares are only shown on...

I was under the impression that integrated Cheshire and Warrington transport was the plan as part of becoming a combined authority with a (pending election) mayor, but getting started on it prior to the first mayoral election next year is a good idea. At the very least, I am hoping for ticketing...

I'm hoping the Leighton Link buses will get a repaint cos not only are there Sunday buses on the route now (bus has "Monday to Saturday" written on), but the 12A and 13 exist now also.

It used to be that the tokens didn't have the specific run on them either, so I could keep a stock of tokens and use them whenever the next promotion came along. Now they're labelled with "Winter Offer 2026" as mentioned above.

Hmmm last time I used a Northern Day Ranger to get from Crewe to Carlisle via Settle the timetable aligned a bit better to get there around lunchtime rather than nearer 4pm. Maybe I should drive to Manchester first.

The 317 and 93A/93C updates have vanished from the D&G site and neither appear on Cheshire East's site. Both are still on bustimes.org though. Is this a cause for concern?
