In the main its the most convenient way to get from Newcastle to London. However in recent times it has been so much hassle that I've taken to the coach overnight to free up some day-time.
I have to add that I visited a preserved railway in the UK in December and was surprised to see the state the buildings were in. Lots of poor repairs to what were once beautiful station buildings.
Do any of the larger preserved railways have their own estates managers?
