From a friend of mine:
"There's been a speed restriction on the bridge for several weeks now, and a few TSR's between Afonwen and Pwllheli - these are I think in relation to sleeper replacement work but I don't know about Glaslyn Bridge"

37668 was certified to work on the Cambrian under ERTMS level 2 conditions a while back I don't think it's coming down this week. This is 669 at Welshpool last night, with 97304 for company:

Add to that Forden (new road built at colossal cost - "money no object" or so I was told regarding that one), and the newish road at Penarth, Newtown. It appears there's a very big pile of cash available to close crossings and NR are quite delighted to spend it.
Would driver access to live signalling maps such as http://www.opentraintimes.com/maps/signalling/cambrian help? But I suppose that would depend on track circuits and other signalling systems working normally.
Looks like you missed this bit that I wrote at 12.51 today:
"The climate will always change - it has done ever since the earth gained an atmosphere."
You're welcome.
