Tommy, when I had my assessment day we had to do the SCAAT test instead of the dots. If you Google SCAAT test and click on the images link, you can find a picture of the same shapes they use (doesn't seem to be as popular as the dots/letters tests so images are limited).
I will add though that...
I'm going to be starting training too in the new year, can't wait. Does anyone know if the training is pretty 9-5 Mon-Fri, or do we get stuck in with the shift work straight away? Don't mind either way, just have no idea what to expect over the coming weeks!
Hi all (I recognise a name or two on this thread from the last Metrolink recruitment ),
I have also been invited to an assessment evening the week after next. I'm relieved as I applied last time but after being invited to an assessment day had to withdraw my application due to having to...
Ah, gutted! I've been out of the country for 2 weeks and I've completely missed this. Been waiting so long for something in Manchester to come up too.
Guess there's always next time :| Good luck to the rest of you, recognise a couple of names from the Metrolink thread last year!
Well done pal, can't say I'm not jealous.
Can I ask how far down the page on the speed shapes test you got? I was told I would hear from Metrolink at some point in the future after they phoned a few weeks ago so I've been trying to practice but it's so difficult! Almost dreading their phone...
How did you get on Pop79?
I had a call from Metrolink a couple of weeks ago (similar questions to those you posted on here) but there was no mention of an assessment day. I was told I'd hear back at some point but they didn't specify when - not heard anything since. Maybe I didn't answer well...
Is this from the April/May recruitment? Not got any useful advice for you mate but good luck. Maybe I'll hear something from them after all (won't give up on the wishful thinking :D) Can I ask how they got in touch with you?
I was one of that wave and I'm also not totally convinced I've been unsuccessful. Just not thinking about it now but half expecting to hear something at some point. As above, the closures at St Peter's Square, Media City and Eccles lines surely means fewer trams are operating and HR's workload...
Hi L33,
Only just seen your message (quite new to the forum and didn't realise you could communicate this way!). I've not heard anything at all from Metrolink. Not sure if we'd hear back if we were unsuccessful? Previous threads seem to suggest we'd at least get the 'unfortunately not this...
Well I missed out on that one then! I applied on the round that closed April 30th and didn't think to check for new vacancies again so soon...
Did they tell you if you were successful after the phone interview? I wonder if they're still doing the same assessment days to whittle numbers down...
I dunno mate, I've not heard anything to say I've not been successful so I'm clinging on to a last bit of hope! Been practising the SCAT and dials tests so I'm well prepared to hear some good news from them
If it wasn't for the line at the end of the application about being unsuccessful if we'd not heard by 30th May, I'd allow myself to remain slightly hopeful. Although I suppose with the number of applications they receive there's always a small chance they run over these deadlines they set...
