Short faring issue - SWR Request for contact

I disagree. I don’t believe I am over thinking it. Whilst it will cost the OP some money to get a refund on the existing season ticket, this will completely avoid the risk of detection and as you say a flag Being put on the ticket. My way breaks all links amd that is the message I am trying to...

Short faring issue - SWR Request for contact

I’m no lawyer but continue to ignore these e mails is the way I would go. Stop using the account you have been buying the tickets on and switch to a new ticket provider and if possible use a different credit card for future purchases to completely ‘break the chain.’ if your season ticket covers...

Can TFL demand your scam payment card or that you turn out your pockets under law?

This has opened a bit of a can of worms. So if you own a smart device with a scam card in it that you had been using, could a member of TFL staff seize that device? I think not.

Can TFL demand your scam payment card or that you turn out your pockets under law?

Which is fine, the Police have powers to search if they have sufficient grounds to do so. My question was with regard to the demands of TFL staff who on this occasion seem to be implying that you have to do something that they do not have the powers to force you to do. After all, I’d like you...

Can TFL demand your scam payment card or that you turn out your pockets under law?

I've been watching a video of ‘Faredodgers - at war with the law’ with one scene showing a TFL investigator interviewing a fare dodgers where she demanded that the scam bank card was handed over and that the fare dodger turn out their pockets when the fare dodger refused to handover the...

Was I sold the wrong ticket

Chiltern responded thanking me for my comments and expressing relief that I did not get a penalty fare. They gave me a £15 gift voucher as compensation.

Northampton Station Short Stay Parking - a cautionary tale.

To the OP, go to this very well known site and post up details in the relevant section. You will get all the info you need there. https://www.ftla.uk/index.php?PHPSESSID=7mbs343dti7mut4dp906m10et9

Was I sold the wrong ticket

Every day is a school day! Thanks Hadders - I didn’t know that. I now have a card registered for contactless on my account so can use this going forward to avoid these situations in future. I have e mailed a detailed complaint to Chiltern. No response as yet.

Was I sold the wrong ticket

Thank you for all the replies. I bought a paper ticket as I needed a receipt and didn’t have a contactless card set up on my TFL account which I have now done. I will report this matter to Chiltern.

Was I sold the wrong ticket

At the ticket office at High Wycombe station this morning at approx I asked for ‘a return ticket to custom house’ (East London). I duly paid £42.00, got a receipt and set off on my travels via Marylebone, Baker Street, Bond Street and finally the Lizzy Line to Custom House. Got to Custom House...

    Twyford to London Saturday travelcard

Off into London on 3rd Jan from Twyford, Berks. Will take the Elizabeth line then need a few tube journeys across zones 1 and 2. What’s the cheapest ticket please? PAYG Oyster/contactless? Paper travelcard? Advance booking of some form? TIA.

    ‘Mandatory Reservations’ and delays

If the 1000 from Leeds to Huddersfield had been cancelled, could the ticket holder have boarded the delayed 0945 service even if it was scheduled to depart before 1000 but didn’t in this case?

    Validity of a railcard

Bit of a teaser, it’s quite easy to buy a ticket from an online retailer and say you have a railcard of some description when you don’t. So, do I need to have a valid railcard when I buy the ticket or on the day of use? My thought is that my railcard has expired, but I want to buy an advance...
