Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

You can't be serious? Perhaps we should just skip the alcohol card and go straight to communism?

Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

No, as terrorism does not require 'political' motivation.

Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

Derailing a train and causing hundreds of deaths doesn't count as terror because there was no political movement behind it

My thoughts on why Crossrail should not have been built

Infrastructure in London when directly compared to other places may seem excessive or unfair, but with such a densely populated urban environment it is far far more necessary just to keep everything running relatively smoothly. Perhaps overcrowded pacers or low frequency services may be annoying...

Or simply follow London Underground's example by ensuring all cab glass is bulletproof. Perhaps modify rolling stock to deflect objects on the track.

Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

More funding for rail and a more frequent revised timetable.

Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

I certainly agree that there is a problem with hardly anything for the youth to do. "When a society takes away all adventure the only adventure left is to destroy it". When it comes to safety campaigns you have to strike a balance between giving important information and potentially giving...

Objects being thrown at trains-a way to prevent this?

It is caused by stupidity. I'm sure people who do this think the train will stop when it sees the obstruction, they think trains can stop as quickly as rubber wheels on tarmac. If they are trying to derail trains and kill hundreds then that is essentially terrorism.

    A couple of Javelin questions

Yes, it does. OP is asking why the shape is like that.

    A couple of Javelin questions

The lettering seems custom made for it rather than a font.

    Southeastern 375 refurbs

Southeastern say that any journey on a 395 is a "first class experience" and thus no 1st class section is required. First class on 375s seems a little pointless, as the seating is the same, there are no longer refreshment trolleys, and now people will be walking through to reach other parts...

    Southeastern 375 refurbs

Interesting to see it in London, very different to the quiet rural setting of the Paddock Wood-Strood line. I like it much better than the white and yellow. It blends into the scenery and looks far more civilized.

Greenhithe delays - "drivers cab being shot at"

Such scum is the reason why we can't have nice things! Look at the amount of yellow tinted plastic that has replaced glass on bus shelters in the UK. It looks horrible, but no one can smash it.

T&W Metro incident at Pelaw 04/11/15

I would argue that the age of the stock really is not a problem. Pacers were designed cheaply as a stopgap, a barebones bus body on 2 axles. How long does a bus last? Well in London it is about 7 years. Proper rail stock can easily last 50 years or more with some refurbishments and upgrades.
