That isn't where we were. I think we must have been on the wrong street. There was a pull-in marked "Kiss & Ride" which, I guess, is what we would call "Drop Off".
As I said before, it didn't help that we don't speak German and couldn't find anyone with a decent command...
We were told by someone outside the station we had to get a bus from the park & ride to the station.
I guess it didn't help that neither of us speaks a word of German.
Oh well, we might be back someday. ....And if we aren't it's not the end if the world.

As I understand it, the Frecciarossa services run by Trenitalia are booked in advance, and the Italo services are open access and your ticket us for the next available train.
Well, that's how it worked for us. Ticket cost was c.27Euro per person each way. The journey time was 1hr30.
Today I travelled to Venice on a Freccerossa, and back on an Italo AGV.
I have to confess my usual UK experience is limited to the ECML. But why can't we do inter-city rail travel as well as the Italians seem to?
The line I travelled on isn't dedicated "high speed", but at times the trains...
