Just got off an Ormskirk train at Maghull North where its now seemingly possible to switch to the Headbolt Lane line

Yeah they're the ones. I guess its easier to change the announcements when there's no one needed to record them but can't say I'm a fan

I've been using the Headbolt Lane line this week and the automated announcements have changed again compared to a week or two ago. A new voice doing the announcements about smoking/vaping and speaking to the TM if you need assistance

I tapped in yesterday around 6.20am to 6.25am for a train departing in the peak at 6.30am, returned in the afternoon and have been charged for a daysaver rather than an anytime return, so it didn't pick up my next available train was in the peak.

Never mind they've just taken the payment and emailed me, so it must be daily

Ah ok...I (wrongly) assumed it would be like London where it charges you everyday and then stops taking money when you hit the cap

Made my first return journey yesterday using it, it shows up in my journey history this morning but my bank card hasn't been authorised for the payment yet

I've registered my interest although I don't travel every day, usually 3 times a week so might not be what they're looking for as won't reach the weekly cap

There's a sign next to the buttons saying 'press when illuminated' which doesn't help

The times I've been on them when there's been problems with the doors it's been because they've been seriously crowded and the step wouldn't retract, and the guard or driver has come on the PA and asked people to try and move away from the doors

It's from Lime Street so don't think it will be a voyager
