Just to put things n a differant light. There was a simular incident at Kings Cross with a DB charter on Saturday. Driver misread the RA for another platform. The train continued as normal with its booked crew as incident was reoported imeadiatley through the correct channels.

The driver said he was slipping and had lost his brake and went back to investigate. Numerous drivers have commented on how bad the rail head was in this area. RAIB looking into the condition of the track :lol:

The Penzance Bristol and return had a super BG on each end.As for stoage vans there wasnt any rules but more as to what formation the post office required. They liked to have the big doors on certain sides of the train for offloading and loading at various points.

I would say that the groundstaff or signaler should not have operated the crossing untill the bus was clear.But speaking from a groundstaff point of view you pi55ed off with ****s blocking crossings or disobeying them. Certainly inside dock areas where the crossings are open.

It seems that only the Bridgend sevice is affected. Coal sets are running to Margam to run round and go back towards Aberthaw.
