Hi Woody, Have you thought about London? Just over your hour by train but if you get the right TOC travel would be free. Several depots in North London I know First have been looking out for fitters at Acton.

It could possibly be on a test run out of the Salisbury depot.

Techie2 you are obviously aspiring to be a driver but why dont you use the skills you have as a techie to get a techie job in the railways and then move towards driving. You will find most technical jobs are already paying the salary you are acheiving.

I to got a similar phone call on Tuesday I had a letter from SWT on Friday confirming the offer subject to medical and I am also worried about the medical but no idea why as I know that I am in alright shape just the thought of a test I suppose.
