    "London..." prefix on station names

London Stansted (always though that this was stretching the geographical limit a bit too far though!?!) :s

Is closing slam-doors helpful for dispatch?

Absolutely yes. In fact, Greater Anglia have an automated message "to assist in the prompt departure of this train, passengers are asked to close doors behind them"

Which is your favourite NR branch line and why?

For me, it has to be the Sudbury Branch Line, running from Marks Tey, to err, Sudbury. Passing over the Chappel Viaduct is something else :D

Penalties on the Railways in General.

Just wondering if anyone's ever had any experience in dealing or witnessing any Railway related Offences which have resulted in a Member of the Public actually being caught and fined? I realise that there are numerous Byelaws, however, I'm thinking along the lines of "Improper use of Emergency...

Choosing your seat when booking in advance?

Just successfully booked two tickets from London to Colchester, all as mentioned above, using CrossCountry -(doesn't seem to be restricted to certain areas / Train Companies) -simply chose Table Seating, and was allocated two table seats! :D Thanks again for all the hints & tips! :)

    Train Driver helps Mugging Victim

Well done that man! I realise that inevitably these days, a person's actions often are analysed with hindsight, however the fact is an ordinary member of the public took a stand against something that wasn't right, and it paid off -SIMPLES! :-D
