So SWR, why do you need my phone number?

What's particularly annoying to me about unnecessary requests for a title is that they don't generally autofill while the rest of the form does.

So SWR, why do you need my phone number?

Lots of major companies routinely ignore GDPR - I frequently see registration forms that default to opt-in for marketing emails, and although that's illegal enforcement is virtually (if not actually) non-existent. And yeah, my number when filling in the OP's form would have been 07777777777.

    TfL wheelchair priority

If the drivers are repeatedly failing even to ask people occupying the wheelchair space (as I have personally witnessed more than once on London buses) then they should be fired, as they aren't doing the job.

    TfL wheelchair priority

They aren't using that part of the bus for its intended purpose are they? Its intended purpose is to allow wheelchair users to safely travel on the bus, and they are being selfish when they refuse to allow that.

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

Still not being in compliance with a legislative change that came into force nearly a year ago is nothing to do with day to day operations.

    TfL wheelchair priority

The rules say that the driver should request the person currently in the wheelchair space to vacate it, and I've seen occasions when they have simply refused to allow a wheelchair user to board without even doing that.

Audio/visual "next stop" announcements on buses

Because it might require effort, and there seems to be an overwhelming view within transport that if things require effort it's unreasonable to expect them to be done.

    TfL wheelchair priority

It's all very well saying that wheelchair users should be happy to wait for the next bus, but how do they know that the next bus won't have a selfish buggy user who refuses to yield the wheelchair space, or even an unselfish buggy user who would happily yield the space but a driver who is...

Companies That You Expect to Disappear Soon

Letter mail competition arguably started in the 70s with DX, a service used by lawyers to send documents to other lawyers - presumably this had previously been done by mail. These days it's a general freight and logistics company but they still do secure overnight document delivery.

UK switching to electric vehicles discussion

I can see ICE drivers getting angry about "their" space having a charger put next to it.

Delay Repay when the train is cancelled in advance

I don't see why it should be necessary to have bought the ticket before the train is cancelled. If I plan to catch the 12.00, buying a ticket at the station but then it's cancelled so I do the same with the 12.30 I've still been delayed by half an hour.

'Rail defect' causing cancellations to Moorgate trains

Then they need to understand the concept of a happy medium too.

Trainline to be investigated for not including fees in prices

£1.00 per ticket, or as a transaction charge? I think per ticket fees have to be included in the cost per ticket displayed initially, but a single transaction fee can be shown in the final summary before payment.

Track out of Cannon Street towards Charing Cross/Blackfriars

Am I right in thinking this track would also have been used when the Waterloo-Waterloo East link was still there?

    Car hire question

I understood what you meant perfectly well. My question (which was answered) was why should the car hire company care about that as long as they get their money?
