    Trouble with Screenwash Nozzles

Funnily I was dealing with this earlier this week with on an old MR2 that's been off the road for a number of years. What worked for me (without resorting to detaching everything and soaking in vinegar), was to poke at the two nozzle holes. The suggestion I read online proposed using little...

Stopgap options to cover for delays to introduction of Class 810 for EMR?

Do we know if these will be maintained at Central Rivers? If so that's at least 4 or 5 extra diagrams you could reasonably expect to have covered everyday, once they've got them all brought up to spec. - Does anyone know if the off-lease 221s are in warm or cold storage?

    Brush built locomotives

To add, at a similar time, the BAC 1-11 aircraft was licensed to be built in Romania as well. At one point Ceaușescu was even given an honorary Knighthood and the government was pursuing a 'positive discrimination' strategy. In the event, the Romanian 56s needed substantial rework to get them...

Colas to Reduce Class 56 Usage

Railcard minimum fares incorrectly applying over Summer

Amazing to hear this has been sorted moving forwards! Do we know if it is a manual entry every year to implement this rule?

Has revenue protection gone too far?

This I think is half the problem. CCSTs just work, whereas the QR codes, especially when they are printed off, seem to be pretty difficult to make consistently work. Leading often to people needing to ask for help. I have also known specific printers to be poor, and miss a whole line on a...

Not showing all split tickets suggests intention of refund fraud?

That's an interesting point. I don't think I've ever made an effort to show portions I've already used. I usually try and show all tickets for the specific service I'm on (or at least the 3 soonest to be used if there are a lot of splits and I'm on a long Avanti/XC Journey), but I wouldn't...

    Amazon to use rail?

This article on The Loadstar states the following: https://theloadstar.com/amazon-on-track-for-uk-decarbonisation/ It's interesting that they speculate that Coatbridge might be the relevant terminal. I note that the Amazon website shows an image of a DRS Class 88 pulling an intermodal train...

    Class 43 disposals

HSTs in Mexico were a very political project by AMLO who's now out of power. I wonder if that's dampened interest in any repeat orders

    Class 331 EMU Questions.

This article has some details. https://www.railmagazine.com/news/network/northern-plans-more-new-trains-after-caf-milestone In short wikipedia is wrong and the 331s were all built in Spain.

Could Scotrail HSTs be extended to 6 coaches?

I didn't realize there were any left in the country. Are there any more at Great Yarmouth/Ely?

Could Scotrail HSTs be extended to 6 coaches?

Theoretically I suppose they could buy some former XC coaches from Doric. Money aside, they would need different interiors to match the Scottish ones and that pushes you back to sub 5 years from the 2030 date when they might be replaced anyway.

    Class 93 Tri-mode Loco

What effect has the change in spot electricity prices had on the freight market? Perhaps prospective customers have now walked away given the cost basis for running these tri-mode services has changed?

GBRf Class 99 - 30 locomotives now ordered

And more than that of pair of 90s as well, which is very impressive. 500kN compared to 2x258kN that's in practice limited by only having 6 of the 8 traction motors running.
