Where do you work out of Mattm123? Do you work for XC trains? I am scheduled to start my training next week in Birmingham (3weeks). Any info regarding shifts, responsibilities (obviously not the ones outlined in job discription), career progression ect would be really handy.

Just wonder if anybody can shed any light on the typical working week of a CSA/RSM? I know that each TOC will have different timetables but are the rota's done on a 4/8/12 week basis? How many days before rest and weekends ect? I know there are a few drivers on the site but for us...
Just found it, thank you! It really was a can of worms! Like I said, happy to work my fair share of Sundays, just fine it bizarre that FGW can shown themselves 'no available' or get paid OT for working what other companies have as 'any other working day'...
May have already been asked but where do we stand with working Sundays? A friend of mine works for FGW where he is not obligated to work ANY Sundays if he doesn't want to!
However another friend works for Cross Country and it states that 24 Rostered Sundays are to be worked per year...
