If there were enough seats for everybody...each with a window and a table then people would not have to rush for a seat in a facing direction, with window etc....

Do fast services that run non-stop from London to York run empty?, I don`t suppose they do.....
I sympathise with the ideal world you would like to live in, but how much tax do you want to pay for four tracking the ECML...

How can a new flyover add 1 minute to a down line service when the speed is higher(?) than at present? Is it because the new flyover is situated further north? :|

As commented earlier different types of traction have slight differences to the operation of these pieces of equipment. The average DSD timing is around 5 seconds. The same applies for the vigilance, but on some types of traction it is not necessary to release and apply the deadmans device...
Personally I`m appauled that an MP can take up a good cause, and instead of stating the rights and freedoms of individuals comes out with this garbage....

Interesting that FCC does not think IT will run a reduced service....is this due to no information to post on this company, or that Driver Only Operation means very little effect on services, maybe more on ticket revenue sales and clean...
