The smaller one is for the 700s. They're at all the core stations and are for when there is too much of a gap even with the humps that passengers aren't comfortable. Had to use them a few times at STP
I don't think anyone would actually expect all 18 to go on to HS1
I'm not sure what the exact timings are but Eurostar paths on HS1 are determined so that they arrive at the right time for their paths through the tunnel which is where the difficutlies lie
IIRC izy dont hire that specific set they just hire A set. Eurostar intially used the one they branded izy but if that's unavailable eurostar have to provide something so apparently right now that means an e300
Escalators: They're reversed on the weekends to avoid them bedding in. Before they were refurbed we were unable to reverse 6 of the 7 if we needed to
The gatelines: reversing them with the escalators was the plan. IIRC the gate lines didnt like it and tended to crash so that got put on hold...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
