That's good to know. We have worked with Porterbrook while overhauling the defunct Soprano HVAC PLC's from the 458's.
WSP seems to one of the major things our customers are looking to us for support these days.
Thanks guys, I have a couple of contacts at Porterbrook, but nothing at Eversholt.
We are looking to build a test rig, so any help at all could be useful.
Let's just say that I believe that you are mistaken, here's a photo one one of the old Soprano HVAC units from the 334's that we are currently repairing, please note that it is clearly marked Saloon.
I think you are perhaps mistaken.
We have both cab and saloon plc HVAC controllers in our workshop right now and I have the PO and Alstom DTR numbers to go with the repairs.
Also, your link mentions that aircon\HVAC will be fitted, but does not mention that the 334's never had it in the first...
334's do have air con. The oem supplier was a French company called Soprano who went bust about 18 months ago. This affected Alstom's 334 180, 175 and 458, we have been supporting with the overhaul and repair of the PLC controllers for the affected HVAC units.
Thanks for the links, it really is a great show and gives us a glimpse in to the future.
I'm hoping to catch up with some of the European lightrail operators such as Keolis, Transdev and RAPT amongst others.
This will be my 2nd visit to the Innotrans show in Berlin, I was blown away on my first trip by the scale of it and the products on display.
I will be there for the whole week, so if anyone is going please let me know.
Indeed, he is a loathsome cretin. The man is nothing more than a left wing protester, not a leader in anyway shape or form and hopefully will back where he belongs next month.
We are working on a few toilet door control units for both standard and disabled access doors for several class of vehicles, the problem is quite common, with a bit of luck we will get the TOC's out of the sh*t:wink:
The Enterprise 3000\4000 are are already maintained at York Road and Fort William Belfast. I will visit CAF again soon and try to find out a bit more info.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
