The guy who'd recently passed some of the tests with FTPE?
Either way, congrats mate - never know might see you soon again in training!
Out of interest, did you find out your results? I know they don't give exact details but found out I did better than I thought on at least one of the tests!
I was at the very end, to the assessor's right hand side as she was looking out from the desk. How about yourself?
The application process is good as a test of patience if nothing else at this stage haha.
That makes two of us ... think we were in the same assessment session :)
Another waiting game before start dates but delighted to get this far!!
Might see some of you before too long at training.
Hi guys,
Just a quick post to say thankyou Munster732 - the advice you posted above is much appreciated! Hopefully I'm in your position in a few months time, hope its going well for you!
I've also got my assessment on this coming Tuesday, feel fairly confident because I'm prepared but...
Just a quick bump, has anyone heard about assessment days yet?
Appreciate it's only been a week (so I'm probably jumping the gun a little! :lol ) - but presume they will need to start doing it soon.
Looks like they are taking an intake for May, so presumably needs to be done in time for a...
That can't be on the programme? - or do you mean on paper?
Think that would work out around 2250 cells (9 pages, 10 lines, 25 per line)?
EDIT: to those who posted to slow down I made another attempt a little bit slower (better, but still need to work on the omitted).
Is this looking...
I did, but as always with my first attempt I went far too gung ho. Out of interest, what is a good no. lines with no ommissions / mistakes - 12-1300?
I was waiting to try find out if it was SCAAT or GBT before going any further.
Sounds like it's SCAAT and it's paper for me, I'll give the...
Hi guys,
Does anybody know if Northern use Scaat or GBT for trainee conductor? And do they use paper or computer?
Below is my first real attempt at Scaat, I'm guessing based on previous threads the moral for me is slow down and reduce the no. omitted?
Overall Statistics...
Hello all,
I will shortly be taking a conductor assessment day with Northern. I've read through the forums & info Northern sent like mad but just have a couple of questions that I'm hoping somebody who might have recently taken the day can help me with;
1. Concentration test - Dots or SCAAT...
All the best for the start - here's where the hard work begins!
Out of interest, how did you find the assessment centre day?
Also quick question if you don't mind? - How do the tests on the day compare to the practice materials?
(I note in some of the test materials it states 'the tests...
