Shall I hire solicitor now or send a letter to tfl on my own?

Exactly this is what I don't understand why shall I spend a single penny on solicitor just as yet. Everyone on the forum pressing me to either plead guilty (YORKIE) OR contact a solicitor and spend thousand on them.

From what you've said i think there is every chance this will blow over and you'll hear no more about it. I certainly wouldn't go spending money on solicitors just yet.

Well I certainly wouldn't. If I were you I would do nothing for the time being, if they send a letter to your old address and it is returned to sender they'll probably just assume that they were given a fake address and forget about it. By contacting them you could well be making a rod for your own back.
