As much as id like a Tyne without Wear ( oops I mean Tyne and Wear :wink: ) Its never going to happen thanks to the rise of the Metro in Tyneside and Wearside and also Metro is Nexuses preferred mode of transport over Rail and I think Buses.
It would take a Glasgow sized commuter line system...

Nope runs Hourly all day supplementing the Hexham, the Carlisle/Glasgow Central Service, and Morpeth service Its also the only one of the four to stop at Dunston.
All services are booked 142s however 156s can appear on occasions.
Glad theve decided to run the Northern Connect down Stillington and will open up new direct options to Middlesbourgh from Durham and Chester-Le-Street.
