Looking through the back window, it would appear that only the up line has been wired north of Tirphil station. I can't see any infrastructure for the down line to be electrified at present, which is interesting.

I agree, although I am glad I don't have to rely on them to get to work. They are so much comfier/quieter than the 150/153's and a world of luxury compared to the Pacer they replaced.

I saw one fail at Pengam station. It looked like the brakes refused to come off as the train started. That said I am blissfully ignorant of the engineering on these units.
As a passenger I found the two I've ridden on most comfortable. Their definitely a nicer ride that a Sprinter.
