As I sit here at Meols Cop and see there's another cancellation on this line. I was wondering if ever a day goes by when there isn't a cancellation on this route. Or is it, in my opinion, the route with the most dreadful service in the NW? It's quite abysmal at times

No that's true. But you can take more than 3 passengers. And there are lots of other examples given previously where trains have been empty leaving Lime Street
