I do wonder why this change was brought about in the first place? The previous announcements were far better and more clear. Though granted they are used on other first group run operators so was this just a move to remove any lasting remnants of first group from tpe?

Not sure why the standard class seat hand grips are yellow? when they are blue in other 159s and the rest of the south western fleet?

Its may look “dated” but has and continues to be still reliable way of displaying information on the 360s as well as the others listed. I am surprised they went to the effort of changing it on the 360s when it was not a problem to begin with.

It is not really surprising though is it? Not when in the past 10 years we have seen TOCs order an exceptional amount of new rolling stock across the country. I could see us getting to a point where rolling stock orders might dry up for little a bit of time but I guess at the end of the day...

Both 350 and 360 are also guard open and close.

I heard on another thread that the plan was that LNR would take over WMRs current path via Willenhall and Darlaston and the WMR Shrewsbury service would therefore return to running via the Stour Valley instead? Glad to see this was incorrect and Willenhall and Datlaston will have 2 tph

It does beg the question why has it taken this long for the 376s to get refurbished / refreshed in the first place. This really should have happened years ago when SE were refurbishing the 375s

It has been mentioned in interview, Tony Miles had with the WM trains Deputy MD in the recent July 2026 edition of modern railways that the 172/1 refurb work will be taking place in the latter half of this year or at least starting. Can be found on page 55. Good to hear that something is...

Agreed. Its taken a lot longer than expected sure but the refurbishment of the 360s is definitely a lot better compared to the LNRs 350s and SWRs 450s which refurbishments were nearly as good as this

SWR should have done the 158s and 159s refurbishment years ago, whats the point of doing it now when the both fleets realistically will be going in the next 5 - 10 years.

People living near stations along the Wolverhampton to Shrewsbury line may benefit as it (depending on timetabling) would be an easy change at wolverhampton to get to the airport. Shrewsbury however less so since TfW already provide good links with manchester

As mentioned in other threads when the topic of Stone station has come up. It cannot fit any train longer than a 4 coach 350 due to a) the signal position on platform 2 and b) the risk of trains on platform 1 blocking the junction that links up with the fast line used by avanti, its completely...
