This afternoon at Glasgow Central I saw on the departure screen this message and wondered why it was posted when there are no trams in Glasgow? I am very puzzled. I attach a photo of the departure board in question.
The other day I saw a poster in Partick station which listed which Scotrail trains would have a complete alcohol ban imposed on them for today's six nations event. Today I travelled on a service which im sure the poster described as one of the services where an alcohol ban was imposed but I...
My card was not swiped. It was inserted into the chip and pin keypad and I was told to do this twice. After the second time that's when I was told to sign two receipts. My card has never been swiped. Would it have been different if he had swiped the card?
I don't mind if I keep one of the signed copies, the sales receipt I was given has no signature and no space for one. The ticket office printed two copies of the same receipt to sign, took them both and put them in the till. Wouldn't a customer copy be retained by the customer? I'm not sure why...
Last weekend I renewed a Zonecard at Motherwell station, paying by card. My card is a signature card and I was told that I had to sign two seperatem receipts rather than just one. When I explained that this shouldn't happen I was assured I wouldn't be double charged and this was just the...
Is it possible to purchase a return ticket from Glasgow to Livingston, using Livingston South on the outward and Livingston North on the return and vice versa? Is the answer the same with a 7 day season ticket? Thanks in advance.
Assuming I wish to buy a Zonecard for 4 weeks costing £170, and have a £50 rail travel voucher, can I use this to buy the Zonecard for £120? I was trying to find out if rail travel vouchers can be redeemed only against rail only products or if they can be redeemed against any product sold by a...
If I hold a rail travel voucher for x sum and wish to purchase y product which can be bought at a staffed ticket office, can y product be discounted with the rail travel voucher? Specifically, y is not a standard rail product and includes the likes of SPT Zonecards, Daytrippers, plus bus tickets...
This is indeed the cross country app. I've also attached a screenshot of the fare with disabled railcard applied.
If it was an error would someone not have picked it up and had it rectified by now? I wonder how many people would be mislead by this and decided to buy a different ticket on the...
I was looking at train fares and split ticketing possibilities and noticed by accident an advance ticket offered by Grand Central from London to York on Friday 25th July on the 1253 departure. Under ticket restrictions it states "only valid for persons aged over 60". Initially I had queried...
Not sure what this means?
I was told I had to send the "standard fare" to the address stated on the trams website. I did take a photograph of it though and I still have a card receipt as well as an entry on my bank statement showing the charge.
The advice given was from citizens advice. I can't afford "proper" advice and I have no plans to rely on what I was told. I was just curious as to what my options were and what the likely consequences were. I don't have any reason to doubt what I've been told. I should add that a friend of mine...
I have taken legal advice on the matter specifically highlighting the discrepancy between the website and the conditions of carriage as highlighted by this forum (which I was not aware of previously) and I have been told that there are two possible outcomes:
1. That I was incorrectly fined...
It didn't have a penalty number, it just looks exactly the same as a normal ticket but says "Edinburgh Trams Standard Fare" on it. Nothing seems to indicate if its the first penalty fare or not.
