Is Crewe Signalling Centre still a thing. I recall it was described as temporary when it opened in 1985 and last time I looked it was still there - the red shed with a white stripe on it - described as looking like a signal when it first appeared.

Between Cully and Pully in Switerland some years ago I remember seeing a train relaying track on one side of a double line while the other line remained open to traffic. At least I think that is what it was doing.
