Ahhhh, in that case with that info in mind, I'm happy to continue using the website over the app considering it helps you guys out. Thanks for the info Yorkie.
Brilliant website, saved me a lot of money when I went to London from Manchester last month. My only suggestion is to be able to do an advanced search on the iPhone app with the ability to exclude certain TOCs like you can on the website.
Heading to London Euston today via Crewe from Manchester. (Northern then London Northwestern). First leg of the journey I actually benefited from the 08:36 being delayed by 10 minutes, which will thankfully give me more time to connect at Crewe for the 10:13 service. A few residual delays so far...
Ah that's a fair point, completely forgot that but it would make sense. I did see a couple of Northern staff but didn't think to ask them, probably a bit of stress over the whole situation to be honest.
My only frustration when stuff like this happens (aside from the fact that the weather in this country is absolutely garbage) is the fact that there's no staff anywhere to be seen from TOCs on station concourses.
I got stuck at Manchester Victoria at around 2315, was planning to get the 2332...
Thanks, that's very useful information! I'll definitely head to the far end of the train sets!
Good question! Suppose I could have worded it differently but I simply want to TRY and get a good seat, as I know it's unreserved seating. Will definitely be heading to the far end of the platform, I...
Hi guys,
Travelling to London from Manchester via Crewe next weekend (it was £50 cheaper than going direct and it's an off peak ticket too rather than advanced!). I have to be in London by 1-2pm so I can get to Wimbledon for an event I'm attending. What I am wondering is two things -
1) Is...
Thank you! To be honest not 100% sure where I'll be staying in London when I return from Eastbourne so I'll be able to figure that out nearer the time. That's good to know, only worry I have with paper tickets is losing them (I have done it before!) so might just take the hit on using...
Thank you!
Thank you. The advice on Cross London tube transfer is great, so I would have to have a paper ticket for this right? Not sure why I had Waterloo in my head! I travelled to Eastbourne last year as well but couldn't for the life of me which station I travelled there from and to on the...
I'll do it at one of the main line stations and use a contactless for any other part of that journey. Should be fine to use it from Eastbourne to Waterloo right? And then when leaving London whichever station serves Nottingham which I believe is King's Cross?
Hi guys,
Haven't been on the forum for a long time but know this will be the best place to get a comprehensive answer!
I am working away (mixed with a bit of leisure) at the end of June and beginning of July. I plan to get an Off Peak Return ticket. My outbound trip will consist of me going...
"We were booked with trainline , the woman gave me details for the train we caught which was a different company I think virgin , but the woman forgot to notify Virgin so we were charged we had return tickets and and I can't remember the times specifically now but we had direct tickets...
Hi guys, I am asking this on behalf of my Mum's friend, who travelled to Newcastle with some friends.
They bought a ticket to go to Newcastle from Manchester via thetrainline. When they got there the train that they booked on was cancelled. They were told to get on the next train. The guard...
Hey guys, forgive me if it's the wrong place to ask this. But I notice that Manchester Victoria - Stalybridge line is scheduled to be electrified. What about beyond Stalybridge, i.e Mossley etc?
