Crewe to Glasgow advice needed

Hello, I hope this post isnt too long winded.... I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the Crewe to Glasgow route. From next week, during school term times my daughter and I have to travel to Glasgow every Friday from Crewe (early evening), and then return every Saturday...
