When is a child, not a child?

A suggestion that I would make is that a child fare should be charged if the child does not take up a seat.

When is a child, not a child?

Where I used to live, there was an estate where kids on one side of the road had a free bus pass, whereas the other side didn’t. Lead to some very disgruntled students, who had to pay and others didn’t.

What happened to the new TFWM red bus livery?

The WM Bus livery concept I think is rather ill thought out. Unless TfWM are going to pay for the respraying of vehicles themselves, no operator will want to to this. Also, this is a problem, especially for smaller operators who can’t afford to have vehicles off the road.

When is a child, not a child?

In the West Midlands, a child fare is up to 18, provided that the relevant photocard is shown. If a card isn’t shown, then the full adult fare should be charged.

    Bus Doors Jamming?

Releasing the handbrake when the bus is kneeled causes the bus to raise again. Saves having to press the button. Also stops you driving around with the bus kneeled

    Arriva Ticketer fare oddity

Some operators actively charge lower prices for fares that are paid by contactless. I guess, it’s to encourage more use of contactless payments. Similarly, in the West Midlands, tickets bought on Swift PAYG are cheaper.
