Eurostar are launching direct London to Antwerp trains from December.
Just outbound currently with no plans for a direct return service.
Head for Points article with details of new route
If your preferred time is not available, it's worth calling customer services (although it may take you a while to get through - when the lines are busy they just cut you off and don't even let you stay on hold).
We had the same issue this week and got upgraded to premier because there were no...
As an update, I finally managed to get through on the phone.
To be fair, the agent was very helpful and managed to book us in Premier on the 15.12, for no additional cost. We were happy with this so accepted. She actually said that their policy now includes rebooking for free in a higher travel...
There are still plenty of tickets available on Eurostar from Lille to London. I presume that a change at Lille would be seen as a reasonable rerouting.
I'm on hold to them now so I will suggest this. If they deny, do I have grounds to book that and claim back? Or would they say that the 9pm...
Thanks all
I tried ringing but got the 'lines too busy to accept your call' message.
Will keep trying.
There are 6 of us on the booking which is the additional complication - I'm sure if they split us up we could fit in the remaining spare seats for other trains.
Hi all
Our return Eurostar from Paris has been cancelled next Wednesday (10:12 from Gare du Nord).
As normal, Eurostar are not clearly explaining my rights as a passenger. As I understand it, I am entitled to "continuing or re-routing your journey under comparable conditions to reach your final...
Hoping for some help please.
I'm planning to travel from Reading to Bristol Temple Meads, via Westbury.
I'm thinking of using a Theale to Bristol Temple Meads ticket, as this has a cheaper 'via Westbury' fare, which isn't available from Reading.
My understanding is that if I travelled from...
It is also possible to add multiple sets of seats to your basket, and then delete the ones you don't want, I believe.
Obviously not true free choice but gives some options.
Thanks for the help above!
Hello
I will be travelling with 7 others from Paris to Bourg-Saint-Maurice in January on one of the direct ski TGVs.
We are keen to get 2x tables of four, so I will do some dummy bookings to try and get the Club-4 seats.
However last year we travelled on two TGV duplex from Paris to Lyon and...
Past few weeks I've noticed my phone (EE) isn't connecting to the WiFi network (EE Wifi-Auto) any more. Network still shows but fails when I try to connect..
Anyone else experiencing this?
We did London to Strasbourg earlier this year, and decided to go via Paris rather than Lille. The journey time is quicker in most cases and the change from Gare du Nord to Gare de L'Est is very easy, 10 mins walk.
From a cost point of view it means you get a choice of many departures from Paris...
Great thanks all
Additionally I see that from the timetable recast the Meldreth trains speed up significantly, being non-stop from Welwyn north onwards. So further incentive to just stay on to Kings Cross and then walk to St Pancras
Unless I am misunderstanding this will work out way more expensive?
London terminals annual season is £6280.
Assuming he commutes 5 days a week for 47 weeks a year, this would be 470 single journeys between St pancras and Farringdon - at £2.90 per journey it is an additional £1363.
By contrast...
Thanks all for the help.
This is for a friend. Is there any combination of tickets (cheaper than the full zone 1-6 season ticket) which would allow him to choose his route either:
Train to kings cross, tube to farringdon
Train direct to farringdon (without having to exit at st Pancras to tap...
Indeed it would but my understanding was there was some interavailability between certain national rail routes and underground lines.
Perhaps it doesn't apply here.
