A reasonably good day today at The OPC I would say but the time on the tests goes so quickly! How many vacancies are there? There was circa. 30 in the room, split around 25 men and 5 women.

Is it likely that depot requirements may change with the MK5A’s being announced today? In other words, those depots that don’t sign 68’s might do so in the future?

I assume we won’t see anything for Banbury until 2026 at the earliest, which is a shame as that would be my target!

And Aylesbury is also on there, can’t believe how many spaces must be coming up! Anyone know how many links are there?

How come? Is it due to the location or type of work?

The Aylesbury advert has reappeared on the website as the recruitment drive continues (again!).

I would be interested to know why there is all of a sudden a huge rush to try and recruit and deploy drivers at Chiltern - does anybody know what’s gone so wrong? Lots of leavers, lack of recruitment or just an urgent need?

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the assessments last week as I was scheduled to travel to Swindon during the heavy snow and couldn't get there. Thankfully, GWR have been incredibly accomodating and I'm booked back in for February 2025. More time to practice, it'll be worth the wait!

This was kind of my point earlier on. In “Your Applications” if you click on the submitted one for February, it actually now links through to the advert for April. It’s all very odd.

The advert for Aylesbury, which is linked to the original applications everyone has made, has gone back up but this time says it’s for April 2025. Not confusing at all…

2.5 weeks from submitting my interview to invite to assessment. Can't complain about this process so far, running rather smoothly and quick (for the railway). Does anyone know the expected course dates for Oxford next year?
