    Quite compatible. Much of the traffic is buses, delivery vehicles, etc. Even with no cars at all it could be congested. (Compare the "red wall" of nose to tail London buses on car-free Oxford Street

    The Highland Sleeper only has two seated cars leaving London, but runs to three destinations. The two seated cars run to Aberdeen and Inverness. Seated passengers for Fort William have to transfer to another car which is attached to the Fort William sleeping cars during the shunting manoeuvres...

    Indeed - they change at, i think Wimbledon to say they are going to Richmond, and at Norbiton to say they are going to Waterloo. Similarly in the opposite direction, at Richmod they say Wimbledon, and at Strawberry Hill they say Waterloo. However, the talking ceilings give the entire route -...

    Many years ago I joined a train at High Wycombe with "Little Kimble" on the destination blind. Obviously it was actually going to Aylesbury - as indeed was I. Now, I can understand the train being advertised at Marylebone as only going to Little Kimble, but from any other stop on its route...
