XC voyager coaches were never swapped around 607 has always been next to 603, just the shop was removed and replaced by storag.

That’s the marker light, the headlight bulb still looks like a halogen if you blow the picture up.

Voyagers do have them but don’t think they have ever worked

There used to be one at Bardon Mill on the Newcastle to Carlisle line. It was normally locked out but could be opened for SLW.

As per a conversation today with a guy from fleet they are looking at LED headlights but might happen after first one/couple are done

Don’t think that should happen, voyagers can now cross feed electricity to more than one coach per set (if 2 engines shut down both will be supplied from other vehicles)

All XC voyagers are now fitted with IESS (start/stop) software. Certain stations engines are shut down but can be restarted by driver. Engines can also restart at later station by software.

As far as voyagers go, they idle at 994rpm, 1154 I think when in forward, 1200 ish when in power notch and 1796 at full power. No set positions between power notch and full.
