011 was the bad one as well as 012 as 011 hadn’t worked much at all last year. Only 008 has been on passenger work so far this year out of the DRS liveried ones.

The latter. Porterbrook don’t need to pay for 46 year old locos with no future sat in sheds. They are scrap unless some enthusiasts have them.

1V54 is not booked a HST on Weekends only weekdays. Saturday southbound is 1V44, 1V50, 1V52.

It doesn’t matter about the fuel consumption really as XC is all diesel. And if you if it was FGW then running an expensive train can’t be helped unless you don’t run a train at all. But it’s a public service they’re running.

Should be GW11 coming back south.
