Congrats!! I have my contract in hand - 18th May start date. Good luck to all those still in the process.

It's a breeze and you have nothing to worry about. Blood pressure check, alcohol breathalyser, pee in a pot, vision test, hearing test, ecg scan and then a chat with a doctor. The dr i saw made me do a few basic tests like balance, coordination and strength (he made me squeeze his hand :lol...

I'd imagine every TOC has their own way of doing things but there was not psychologist at the GTR MMI I had recently, just the one chap and I.

The emergency situation can be a toughie but being a first aider I was also able to use a good experience which got me through.

Good luck to all those applying. Having just decided on this career change in September I am now a urine test away from passing all stages and will be looking at a start date of 18th May. So take it from me, anything is possible :)

I got asked this question from a personal point of view (the ice breaker), so just interests and hobbies really, what you do to escape so to speak. I was also asked employment history with a bit of basic detail about each position. Good luck :) had my medical today, all is well just...

Not sure if that was the one I found. And now I cant remember if some of those pics were in the test, I do recall there were about 10 pics in the real test and about 3 sample pics before you started so it's possible one or two in this video are in the actual test and like wise in the samples...

Congratulations, am hoping to be in your position in 12-18 months when my training is complete. I also echo your comments about this forum, such a valuable source of info and I'm also indebted to it's members :)

I'm pretty sure the video is only the example pictures you get to see before the test starts and not the actual test pictures. Saying that it still gives you some good preparation for the test and what to expect on the day. This was actually one of my strongest areas on the day.

Heard back from GTR today. Have got my medical on the 21 April with a start date of the 18th May providing all is well with the check up. :D

It was about 3 weeks. You will get similar questions during the DM as with the MMI, I personally found the MMI more relaxing but I think that is more down to the situation, the last hurdle so to speak. My interviewers were both really nice chaps as was my MMI interviewer which also helped...

Left/Right was on the left and up/down was on the right. You are given time to practice so take it slow. You should also not complete the practice runs fully i.e. don't go to the end which takes you back to the beginning for another test run as there is a limit on the number of practice runs...
