The job I applied for was originally pulled but then I got a call several months later saying the requirement had changed and was given a course date. Talent pools do work. Also those that don't want to wait or doesn't have the time to keep applying...the person behind you will thank you for it!

Many congrats, as a conductor I don't think I have anything to add but I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you some pointers.

On a bendy bus..Other traffic would go around you or diverted if they saw you had a accident..in the case of a emergency such as derailment the driver would stay with the train and the conductor would go and lay track circuit clips and detonators in order to stop other trains causing a collision...

You will all get there in the end. This is my timeline from start to finish. (Conductor) Applied Oct Interview mid Dec Assessment early Jan Medical April Course start June. Don't lose hope!

I couldn't agree more. I am ex cabin crew and I believe my experience helped me gain a conductor post.

I'm pretty certain you will be allocated a course date but it's just a matter of waiting. I guess the only thing you can do if your unhappy about it is retract your application and seek employment elsewhere.
