The bridge at Haymarket Depot over Russel Road in Edinburgh was reasonably recently painted maroon. I always wondered if it had something to do with it's proximity to Tynecastle!

They're certainly doing so as part of EGIP - though this probably has something to do with the 25kv string going in too. I've watched some of the teams renewing/repairing/installing it and it definitely doesn't look fun.

A lot of the bases have been done in the Winchburgh area, it's not easy work (lots of scaffolding needed to go in for this) but progress is being made. I'm guessing there was too much else going on during the Winchburgh blockade to do the wiring then? The Avon Viaduct at Linlithgow is also...

I've worked in a serious organisation that had a 'Fire Action Response Team' who had to investigate 'Areas Requiring Swift Examination' when the fire alarm went off. Slightly enlivened the 30 page fire procedures document!
