Is the future capacity decrease because the 769s are going to be incredibly cramped with 3Plus2 seating whereas the 2023 trains are back to 2plus2?Just a thought.

I have just had a look down at Birchgrove station (on the Coryton line) from the road bridge and it appears that the disused platform and trackbed is being cleared. Does anybody know why this is? Is it in connection with possible redoubling work for the Metro?

What is the current status of the proposal to reopen Carmarthen - Aberystwyth? Is it still a possibility, or has it been ruled out yet?

I see the residents of Magor are banging on about a new 'walkway' station (i.e. a station without a car park - interesting). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-48662904 Is this not a bit too close to Severn Tunnel Junction to be sensible?

150284 is now back in service in blue livery. That should ease the stock shortages in the valley a bit! Only 34? 150 units to go now.

I hope they are not going to increase the seating capacity from 212 to 292 by going to 3 + 2 seating. That would be a disaster. People would just take up 2 seats each, effectively making it 2 + 1 seating.

It's funny how quiet Ken Skates has been since bandying phrases like "world-class" and "transformational" about. It looks like Carwyn is taking the rap for him, because he's about to depart anyway.

Does anybody know anything about this? I overheard some ATW, sorry TfW, staff yesterday discussing the fact that Cathays station needs to be relocated. Apparently the platforms are too narrow (agreed) and cannot be expanded as the land immediately adjacent has been sold to the university who are...

I have recently (3 weeks ago) travelled in Cardiff on 150264, so it is back in traffic, However I couldn't see any significant changes, mainly because it was absolutely rammed on a boiling hot summers day.

I look forward to seeing all the frequency increases through Queen St, especially as both 'sets' of services have to basically cross-over each other, all the Caerphilly line trains going down to Central, and the Ponty line trams going down to the Bay. There's going to be two busy sets of points...

Apologies if I've missed this, but do we know yet if the trams are going to be street-level, or platform-height boarding? Surely the latter if they're going to share stations with new trains?

Widening the subways and moving the main building are both going to massive, and interesting, engineering operations. Gareth950, please keep us informed.
