Yes they are still there , they are parked with the damaged ends facing each other inside a shed . You can see the two undamaged units from the new Dyfi road bridge
BTP are not paid for by the home office like most forces, they are paid for by rail industry to look after the railway. Preserved railway fall outside if that remit
Has anyone mentioned what the big holes in the ground created by the quarries will be used for when they close ?
Maybe land fill in the future ? which could generate rail traffic long into the future
