There are two workstation now in York ROC covering the 5 Panels from the PSb. All that happened was the panels were unplugged from the relay room. The connections from the relay rooms into the box were also disconnected and the functions transferred to York

Sheffield PSB will remain as it's still the relay room for the area, oh and my office is in it, Brightside box is still standing and another couple from my area retained for local control of their crossings are Dodworth and Shireoaks Station.

The grey boxes are our traction gel applicators, installed for the leaf fall season to assist DBS's trains up to Stocksbridge. The other works taking place has been to repair a retaining wall.

Along with two of my colleagues we recently completed a book for the 40th anniversary of Sheffield PSB opening, we looked at the 60 boxes closed as a result of this. It was a fascinating excercise and really enjoyed it, its certainly a great feeling when you get a copy of the completed book.

Rotherham Central station has been demolished and currently being re built.

Problems yesterday involved a major points problem at Darlington which stopped trains from accessing the station.
