Thanks for the useful info its really exterior condition,as i need to take some close up photos of Body panel doors,bogies,etc the livery doesent really matter.from a painting point of view it would be eaiser to do br blue than railfreight red stripe

Just out of intrest,which railway do you think has the best preserved class 20. The only reason i ask is because im in the process of building,a ride on minutare class 20 and i could do with going and taking some close up photos.
Any help would be much appreciated

i also used to volenter at peak rail until very recently left due to the amount of backstabbing i understand there are backstabbers at every heritage railway but to many at peak rail it just starting to feel like everyone is watching every move you make also a spate of new rules have just come...
As answer to the above question the nrm are running shuttles between york and shildon on the 24th and 25th of september using 70013 Oliver Crommwell as part of the lms event being held at both sites.

i just got a fujifilm s6000 for christmas its just right right and its really simple to use can take a bit of time to get use to the way it works but once your there it takes good photos i happily recomend it as it is alot cheaper than a SLR but just as good.
The events on the 5 of feb rounhouse open and class 20 and 09 running does anyone now if there is a bus from the train station, or if not what bus do i get from chesterfield station to get there.

i did a stint as station staff at sheffield and there was quite a few jobs around in the company as mentioned above there all internal though your best bet is properly to try and get to know somone in the company who can keep you up to date.
